Wine Description: The everyman’s Petrus…..sometimes these are better earlier but still very impressive wines. Alain Vauthier’s winery is open and loved by RPJ. Carries a good name and is liked world-wide. Look at all years before buying. The Audi of the wine-world.
Wines Year Description: A great medium term investment. It’s a strong and powerful fruity wine. Sharp high notes but with tannins. 8 years in the cellar and it will hit its peak. For the drinker this is a superb high end mouthful but don’t expect it to be like the 2000 or 2003. 94 points. A middle ground investment, not a first choice. If you have the cash right now then buy this for a 5-10 year hold as the credit crunch has brought down prices.
