High tannins, dark fruits, strong wood like aromas and high alcohol; this is an unusual elegant and powerful wine. Originally said to be up to 93 points, it hit the lower spot of 90 points courtesy of RPJ. Subtle oak and richness blend to make this a stylish effort, a cult collector’s bottle. Will live till 2040, it’s rare, so I would say the odd case in your collection wouldn’t hurt but don’t expect more than 5% a year added on. Maybe in the long term of 15 years. |
