St Emilion, dry red blend. One of the 1st Growth’s and very popular world-wide, you can’t go wrong investment wise, with this type. But beware price and choosing the best of a good bunch. Harvest can be cut in half for different years, and this will mean rarer wines to get hold of. See year 2000 |

What a wine! 99 points from RPJ and I suppose a-typical of the 1982 year. Like the Lafite Rothschild 1982, this is a powerful long living wine. Still in its drinking window and will remain till 2015. If you can source and have the money to invest, then buy this now as the prices for 82’s have come down because of the credit crunch. It will be a few grand more expensive in 5 years but I don’t think this is really worth it given the price. |
