St Emilion, dry red blend. One of the 1st Growth’s and very popular world-wide, you can’t go wrong investment wise, with this type. But beware price and choosing the best of a good bunch. Harvest can be cut in half for different years, and this will mean rarer wines to get hold of. See year 2000
Wines Year Description:
55% Merlot, 45% Cabernet Franc. This is a strong wine with distinctive edges. Menthol and cherries in the same breath, with silky aromas of dark fruits and oak. This is, make no mistake, a very interesting experience. Always puts of weight over a 10 year period and will become that much more dark and subtle yet fully integrated in terms of flavour. This is scored at 92-95 be RPJ currently. Buy this now for investment before the new grading, you will hold it for 8 years and make a killing. This will only live till 2030 for drinking peak, so value will grow sharply. See 2000
