RPJ Score: 96-100
Wine Description: Dry Red from Pomerol. Has been noted in a scandal with Helga and Hardy Rodenstock in 1995, when allegations that fake bottles were used and sold meant that RPJ nearly removed certain reviews. He did however say that he believed these were real and kept them. The Petrus based sense of wine power means some truly extraordinary weight. Rare and cult adoration means these wines are worth catching.
Wines Year Description: 100 points, this is an exceptional wine. The aroma can be smelt from across the wine just like an Australian 100 point Shiraz juggernaut. Obviously the comparison is for smell purposes only. It tastes of dark fruits, truffles and vanilla spices but with an elegant concentrated power of layered sweet fruits. A truly historic taste, the wine is legendary amongst wine lovers. It’s very rare and expensive. But it will live for another 22-25 years. Buy this is you have the money for investment or indeed pleasure. It will be worth several thousand more in 5 years and almost impossible to get hold of.
