Wines Year Description: |
A 94 Points wine, you’d be better off with the exceptional 2005 which gained an early 97 points and is already more expensive than this 2000. As an investment wine this is not great but could make a few pounds over the next 10 years or so, but you’d be better off holding it to drink. Tastes like medium to dark berries and fruits, zingy and aromatic, dense and full bodied. An everyman’s Lafite Rothschild is something Robert Parker JR alluded to in his review. Expect it to be ready in 2010 where there will be a price spike and live to 2030. At this price I would say, ‘why not’? |
