RPJ Score: 90-95
Wine Description: A dry red blend from Pauillac. A low quantity production. A cult/specialty wine. Have some great individual performances. A more advanced investment.
Wines Year Description: 47 hectolitres per hectare, this is a small production wine but as noted by RPJ this is not as good as the 2005 blockbuster. The expected aromas of cassis and blueberries and mineral, the wine is medium bodied and with ripe tannin. A very long finish in taste, it’s similar and remind of the 1995 & 1996. Percentages of 75/22/3 - made up of Cab Sav, Merlot, and Cab Franc. 90-92 points. Buy the 2005 for investment as the price is cheaper now and would be a better product choice.
