Closed and brooding were the words used by RPJ to describe the wine that can be compared to the dark knight of Gotham city! Large and strong with minimal aromatic qualities, this wine doesn’t leap from the glass but instead it transcends very few layers of poised fruits. Smoke, mineral, earth and spice can be detected. This will live till 2030 and is ready to drink as of 2015. Could be an outside horse to grab. I would not expect too much from this unless you have bought at a fair price, early on, but in a few years it could ring true. 94 points |
