Wine Description: |
A dry red blend from Pessac Leognan made by Jean Delmas, this is a classic wine that hits the entire mainstream buttons for investment. It grows well, carries low risk and is beautiful to drink even in a bad year! It is a 1st growth with production up to 15,000 cases but expect 12,000 on average. This is great for investors because the quantity will go fairly quickly. |

Wines Year Description: |
94 points. I would advise looking at the 1989 for a purely fantastic HB. This is fairly ok for the wine itself, as an overall product I would say that this is not nearly as good as many others. This is only going to live for another 2 years and was ready in 1997 so if you have it you need to crack it open. Otherwise, forget this wine and find a better alternative. The usual aroma of jam and black fruits with spicy smoky overtones dip into a potent glass of refined HB. Check out some of the newer years like the 2000 to see how the wine has changed through the decades. |
