One of the best at 98 points, this wine has the power and depth to put the later vintages to shame. A pure scent of dark fruits, berries, cedar and a hint of chocolate with undertone of cassis and red fruit. It is ultra concentrated and strong like port, but the wine will continue to grow and develop its fabulous scent and drive in palate. The wine is ready to drink this year 1998 but will live till 2040. It is already high into growth and the spike has been missed but you will see steady growth over the next 7-10 years and the low quantity means it’s a fairly safe bet. |
