This is a 3rd growth wine from Margaux. It is a dry red blend and carries moderate appeal in the wine world, especially on a good year. You can see reasonable growth on a good year with this but don’t expect mainstream performance. This needs low quantity and a high early scoring. Don’t buy en premeur, wait for the early grading. Look for 96 points onwards with this.

90 points – An elegant impressive wine from this vintage which is opulent, sexy and simply delicious. The wines maturity is through to 2020 and given the attractive qualities of this wine is a good short term investment as the wine is consumed and prices rise. The wine is a dark ruby colour with black and cherry fruits, chocolate and floral notes – buy an extra bottle to taste!
